This is the project website for the UK Arts and Humanities Research Council funded research project “Understanding the annotation process: annotation for big data”. This project is a collaboration between Dr Robert Villa at the Information School, University of Sheffield and Dr Martin Halvey at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Strathclyde. Industrial partners are the British Universities Film and Video Council, National Fairground Archive and Catalyst Repository Systems. The project ran from January 2014 until June 2015. This website contains details on the project, links to publications from the project and data sets created during the project.
